TWO VEHICLE ACCIDENT RESULTS IN ONE DEAD

December 4th, 6:30PM; An LCAS member was traveling east-bound on the Algonquinn-Dukes Express way when he came across a car accident between a large truck and a car. The medic pulled over, calling for RCMP and LCFR. The first RCMP unit to arrive on scene was Constable Mr Kitty Ghost; of the RCMP's Criminal Collision Investigation Team. He passed the scene and was concerned, then pulled over to assist. A few minutes later Constable Polden; a member of the Intergrated Specialized Operations (ISO), Lieutenant Anton; a member of Liberty City Fire Rescue (LCFR), and another member of LCFR who wishes to remain anonymous arrived to help.

After LCFR's "Rescue 71" Techincal Rescue vehicle arrived emergency workers were able to safely open the car's door. LCAS safely removed that patient from the vehicle. The patient was not complaining of pain, then of which CCIT questioned the suspect. Further investigations conducted by CCIT, lead RCMP officers to a Burger Shot on Carson street. Witnesses say this female tried to buy food but staff escorted her out of the building due to her behavior. A request for additional units was put out and Cst. First Class Muxlow responded to provide assistance and the suspect was detained. A breathalyzer test showed she was well over the legal limit. Sadly the driver of the semi truck passed away due to traumatic head injuries.

Officers arrest a drunken suspect at Burger Shot.
 LCFR firefighters examine the wreckage.
A paramedic watches over the scene.

"The subject from the car was clearly responsible for the crash. The only skid marks were from the tires of the truck and from my point of view, the marks were made because he was trying to stop. After the Paramedic secured the suspect from the car, I brethalyzed her and she came back way over the limit. Therefore I had reasonable evidence and to arrest her for Driving Under the Influence." Said Constable Mr Kitty Ghost of the Traffic Services Unit's CCIT.

"It is a shame to find these sort've things. With getting into the holiday season, regardless of the spirit. You need to keep inmind drinking and riving is illegal and dangerous. If you want to 'Have some fun' per se, please do so legally. Call a taxi; use public transit; pick a designated driver. Do something other than get behind the wheel of a vehicle while impaired. Not only does DUI put others' life's in danger, you risk yours too. Stay alive, don't drink and drive." Said by LCAS Reserve Coordinator Aidan.
