Car bomb defused in downtown Liberty City.

LC RCMP's ISO were involved in defusing a homemade highly dangerous car bomb at the junction of Hewes St. and dukes Blvd. Cst. Carbon approched the car while LCAS, LCFR and other RCMP personnel arrived to shut down the area. A bomb with a timer and pressure plate was discovered under the car. The timer was cut away but the pressure plate remained. The vehicle was removed by escorted convoy to the Explosive Ordnance Disposal range.

The device was made safe and a controlled explosion carried out. Police are investigating the incident and request anyone with information contact the ISO at RCMP Broker Dukes or call them at 250-566-446. No arrests have yet been made and police are unsure of motive.
